So some nice chap this weekend decided to write a script which has sent over 200,000 notification emails to unknown email addresses. This guy is obviously a spammer! We have taken all the actions necessary to disable all the emails sent out. If you have recieved a notification email from someone and you dont recognise the sender or if it says "mystery Admirer" then dont open it and dont respond to it.
How does the site work? First things first, you need to decide on what theme, or category e-Card you would like to send. We have a huge choice from
Birthday Day Thank-You and
Congratulations e-Cards, to
Friendship Jokes and
Retro e-Cards.
Simply click on the category you need, and a list of all the e-Cards in that particular theme will be shown with a picture indicating what your e-Card could look like. Remember, if you don’t think any of the e-Cards on the first page are quite right for you, then click on the icon ‘Next Page’ for many more possible options.
Click on your chosen e-Card to start the sending process! You will be able to see a preview of your chosen e-Card. it is a good idea to watch the animation the whole way through to see if it is right for you. For additional help we have ‘Editors Comments’ this is a short break down of what the e-Card is like. If you want to view the e-Card again, just click on the ‘replay’ button.
If you would like to proceed and send the e-Card, simply fill in details of who you would like the e-Card to go to. You can send the e-Card to more than one person if you like! Just click on the icon “add recipient” and repeat filling in the details process like you did before. You can add a message if you like, a great way to make your e-Card personalised.
Once you are happy all the details are correct click on the button “to e-mail!” you are now being directed to the page where you send your e-Card, you will also need to fill in your details. Click on the “Continue” icon. You will now see a selection of “pop up” offers, simply click on your favorite and you can send your e-Card.
Finally you will be directed to our
Premium User account, and simply fill in your details as indicated. Once you have completed all your details then simply click “Submit” and you will be send a verification e-mail and all you need to do is click on the link to finish the “Premium User” process. After this you are done! Easy Stuff!!
How to Use the “FACE IT” application We have an awesome application called “Face It”, this is a great opportunity to add that extra personal touch to your e-Card. All you need to do to upload your own photograph is click on the “Personalise and Send” button, and then the “Upload New Head” and then the “browse” button to find which of you own photos you would like to upload.
It may take a few moments to upload your photo, so please be patient! If you prefer, you can use one of our own heads, we have lots of celebs to choose from!
To place a head onto the e-Card, click and drag the head and hold it over the default head shown on the e-Card, then drop you chosen head on-top. It may take a few seconds to load, but once it has done, simply continue to the sending process. This is exactly the same process as above.
How do I check if my e-Card has been sent?
You will receive an e-mail to your inbox with a confirmation. Your chosen recipient will receive a notification e-mail to tell them you have sent them an e-Card. When you log into your
Premium User account, you will also be able to see if your e-Card has been sent. A great way of keeping track of your e-Cards!
Why do you ask so much information? We do this for your benefit, we only want to send you specific details of offers of things you are actually interested in and like! This is also so you can be signed up to our Premium User account! You can do lots of cool stuff with this account, like keep an address book of all contacts, and basically keep track of your e-Cards. You can see which e-Cards you have sent, a great idea so no worries about sending the same card to the same person!
How do I administer my cards? By signing up to our
Premium User account you can keep a handy record of all the e-Cards you have sent, and just generally keep up to date with everything. You can also keep an address book of all your contacts when you want to send e-Cards in the future. You can also set up “My Reminders” this means you never have an excuse to forget a friend’s birthday again!
How do I change my Personal Details? Simply go to your
Premium User account and select the “My Account” option and make any alterations you need. Remember to click on the “Save Changes” option.
How can I unsubscribe from e-mail campaigns?
You can either do this yourself by clicking “unsubscribe”, alternatively, click on the
contact us icon, and will we take you off the list. Our details are found at the bottom of the page.
I can’t activate my Premium Account You will have been sent a notification e-mail to your inbox where you need to click on the link provided, however sometimes this link is quite long, so "copy and paste" the whole link (it may go onto two lines) to the URL bar (this is the long white bar at the top of the page where the web address goes!)Remember to check in your “junk” folder if you can’t find the link, sometimes they land in there.
Why do I have to fill in so much information when I just want to send an e-Card
Again, this is so we can target you requirements, and needs with the e-mail campaigns we are working on. However, you don’t actually have to fill in your details, you only need to choose an offer or campaign you like, and then you can exit by clicking on the “red x” in the top right hand corner of the page.
How do I cancel a card? When you login in to your
Premium User account you have the option to click on the ‘delete’ icon to cancel any e-Cards.
How do I know if the e-card I have just received is not a virus or doesn’t contain a virus? Unfortunately there are some nasty viruses around, but the good news is it is fairly easy to spot the real e-cards from the fake ones containing viruses. Firstly make sure that you recognise the sender of the e-Card. If the card is a fake the “from” field will not be a person’s name, but some kind of fictitious name, for example “e-Card.com”. So just make sure that you actually recognise the senders name before you open anything! Another way to check is that in the main body of the e-mail it will state who the sender is, for example “Tom Smith has sent you an e-Card”, as long as you know Tom Smith then it is going to be legitimate. The main thing is to just be aware, if you receive an e-Card from someone you don’t know, then don’t open it and press delete.
I have reset my password, but I still can’t login, what should I do? This could be a case of making sure that you typed your password in correctly. It is so easy to accidentally press the wrong key, we have all done it! However, if you have double, and triple checked, and you still have no joy, then
contact us and we will get our tech guys to resolve the issue. The best way around this is to copy and paste the e-mail you received when you changed your password into the contact form at the bottom of the page. This will be the quickest way for us to sort the problem out.
When registering to the premium user section, I haven’t received the confirmation e-mail, what should I do? Firstly make 100% sure all your personal details are correct, it could be something small, but it is so important that you input all your personal information in the right manner. Also check your “junk” folder, because sometimes the confirmation e-mail lands in there. Again, if you still have no luck, then
contact us and one of our tech guys will get onto the case right away. Happy e-Card sending!
I have received an e-Card, where do I put my reference number in? Simply
place your reference number here and then click the button "click here to display your ecard" you will then be shown your electronic greetings card. Yes, it really is that simple.
