eCards.co.uk enables users to send e-cards to friend's e-mail addresses:

E-CARDS

The site is very simple to use:
1. Review the cards.
2. When you have found the one you want to send click on the SEND link underneath the card.
3. Type in the recipients details and the senders details.
4. Click SEND.
Notification e-mails will be sent to:
You when the card has been sent to the recipient and also when he has opened it.
The recipient to inform him that he has been sent an e-card.

N.B. If your card has not been opened within 1 week we will resend the notification e-mail. If the card is not opened after a further month the e-card will be deleted from the system.

***Monitoring ecards***
We have launched a Premium User service - this is free to use and it enables users to so the following things:

Check your ecard history
Check the email address you have sent a card to
Resend the ecard
Delete the ecard
Edit the card
Check scheduled ecards
Check cards which have been sent to you

To access the premium user section just click on the "sign up" link in the top right hand corner of the page. It is free to use and we will be launching some more features for you soon so keep your eyes open.

We have just launched a new widget over the w/e and it has generated so much traffic that the site has gone down and we are having to reboot all the servers - V sorry about this we will get everything back online as quickly as we can!!!

*** FICTICIOUS EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS FROM ECARDS.CO.UK ***
We have just been targeted by a spaming company which is sending out ficticious email notifications to email addresses. When users click on the fake ecard notification they are in effect validating their email address to the spammers. We have contacted the ISP which the spammers are using but they are based in Istanbul and we will try to get the site shut down. We can also identify the refering URL which the spammers are using and so anyone who clicks on the notification email will see a message warning them that they have been caught out by the spammers. We have also contacted the Serious Fraud Office, Messagelabs, and the Direct Marketing Association. We will updateing the site here weekly - if you have any problems please contact us.

19.06.07 UPDATE - ***WARNING*** SPAM Virus's Claiming to be an eCard Notifications!!
There seams to be a huge volume in SPAM emails which claim to be ecards sent from "a Friend" or "a Neigbour". We must warn any of our members that the link in these emails will try and get you to click will then download a virus to your computer. It is very easy to spot because the link will be a series of letters and numbers in a random order. When ecards sends you a real notication email the link will start with ecards.co.uk e.g. http://www.ecards.co.uk/875620-39834. Also the sender of the card will be mentioned in the "from" field of the notification email. This means that if you do not recognise who has sent you the ecard don't click on the link!!! Any problems re: this point please don't hesitate to get in contact - support@ecards.co.uk

16.03.07 UPDATE
Well we did it again - we blew up the servers !!! I am so sorry but our tech dept has been trying to put 5 new servers online and by trying to expany our capacity we have managed to let our users down. I hope not too many people have been affected by this. Its all fixed now and we have just hired a bloke to take care of the database and servers so it wont happen again.

14.02.06 UPDATE
The site has become so popular our servers blew up last night and this has caused a general meltdown of the site - we have been working all night on it to correct everything. We have had reports of cards being delivered to the wrong people - this is not a widespread and the site is functioning correctly at the moment. If you have had a problem please accept our appologies and we are working on it!

CAN NOT SEE THE "SEND" BUTTON - There seams to be a problem with returning users who can not see the send button. We are working on the problem to find the bug so please bear with us. In the mean time the best thing to do is to "Delete Your Cookies". This is done by clicking on "TOOLS" then click on "INTERNET OPTIONS". When the window opens up click on "DELETE COOKIES" and click OK. You then need to go back to the site and refresh the page and complete all the details - REMEMBER to check your address - enter the postcode and click GO to find your address.

CAN NOT VIEW YOUR e-CARD - this is probably because you do not have a programme on your computer called FLASH this is totally free an enables you to view animated cartoons. If you wish to download it please click the link below:
